Head of Princess Charter & Sales Manager for YachtQuarters
Joshua has been in and around the ocean from a young age, as a competitive sponsored surfer and RNLI lifeguard. He competed nationally and represented Wales at European level. He went on to study Geophysics at Plymouth University. After a year in software sales, the pull of bigger waves took him to Australia, where he spent time surfing his way along the Western Australian coast.
In Sydney he began skippering and looking after yachts for Luxury Boat Syndicates on Point Piper. He soon moved into yacht sales, starting with shares before progressing to outright purchase and new build.
Joshua brought that experience back to the UK, joining Princess Motor Yacht Sales in 2019 as a Sales Executive. Today he sells the Princess range alongside two further responsibilities.
The first is YachtQuarters, the shared ownership model he has been instrumental in developing. “It’s been great to offer the dream of ownership to those not ready to buy outright,” says Joshua. “There’s been huge interest from buyers who want a more flexible arrangement, and we expect the YachtQuarters fleet to keep on growing.”
The second is Princess Charter, which he now heads. Across all three, he can talk a customer through every route to time on the water, whether that’s outright ownership, a share or a week aboard. He’ll give them a straight answer about which one suits them rather than steering everyone towards the same destination.
Away from work, winters see him chasing swells across Europe and further afield. In the summer he’s spearfishing and freediving. He also stays active with CrossFit, running and hiking.
