Joshua has been in and around the ocean since he was a young age; a sponsored surfer who competed nationally and represented Wales at a European level. That passion for waves stayed with him through his Geophysics degree at Plymouth University, where he became president of the University Surf Club. After a year in software sales, the lure of bigger waves drew him to Australia - travelling the coast of Western Australia, sleeping in a Land Rover on the beach by night and hunting for breaks by day.

Returning to Sydney, he found himself employed skippering and cleaning yachts for Luxury Boat Syndicates on the exclusive Point Piper. From there he quickly progressed into yacht sales, starting in shares and moving into outright purchase and new build, before moving to Australian Superyachts and immersing himself in the world of larger luxury craft.

Bringing that knowledge back to the UK, Joshua joined Princess Motor Yacht Sales in 2019 as a Sales Executive, and today sells the Princess range alongside two further responsibilities.

The first is YachtQuarters, the shared ownership model he has been instrumental in developing. "It's been great to offer the dream of ownership to those not ready to buy outright," says Joshua. "There's been huge interest from buyers who want a more flexible arrangement, and we expect the YachtQuarters fleet to keep on growing."

The second is Princess Charter, which he now heads. Between the two, he can talk a customer through every route to time on the water - outright ownership, a share, or a week aboard - and give a straight answer about which suits them, rather than steering everyone towards the same destination.

The adrenalin of big waves still draws Josh across Europe and further afield, chasing swells during the winter, while summer months see him spearfishing, freediving and honing his apnoea training to stay sharp in the water. Outside of that he's constantly active, whether it's CrossFit, running, or hiking, always looking for the next way to push himself outdoors.
