We are looking to recruit a Spanish and English-speaking Assistant Accountant for our Marine Group following a period of acquisitions. Reporting to the Management Accountant, your role will be to support the Group Centralized Accounts department in the administration and production of the management accounts
The ideal candidate should have:
Must hold Spanish residency – working permit in the European Union
Fluency in multiple languages including English and Spanish
Previous experience working in Finance and Administration, preferably working with the manufacturing or repair industry.
Ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
Great organisation and time management.
Must be resident in Mallorca
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Key responsibilities will include:
Processing of supplier invoices
Dealing with any invoice queries
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Petty cash, manual expense claims managed through the purchase ledger
Petty Cash/Credit Cards monthly reconciliations
Bank statements posting and reconciliation
Bank payments preparation and authorization
Issue of manual sales invoices
IVA Returns preparation and review
Support the management accountant and finance team to produce monthly management accounts and key financial information
Other ad-hoc duties as required
