The Princess V40 and more in Episode 12 of the Princess Experience

Welcome to Episode 12 of the Princess Experience series, and in this episode Ross Gill of Princess Yachts takes viewers for a tour on board the popular Princess V40 sports yacht model.

Read more about the episode below and catch up with the experience on YouTube.

Princess V40

The smallest of the Princess range of luxury yachts, the Princess V40 is surprisingly spacious and performs incredibly on the water. Beneath her exterior she boasts a number of features and interior designs seen within larger yachts, and enjoys the same attention to detail and excellent seakeeping as well. As Ross Gill takes us on board, you can see for yourself the extent of her sheer luxury, clever space-saving configurations and a spacious interior suitable for any group of family and friends. Flexible and versatile, the V40 is suitable for any weather, however with an open deck layout on her main deck, and a hydraulic transom ideal for watersports, there’s no denying she would be at home in a warmer climate.

Her exterior is instantly recognisable as ‘Princess’ with an extensive port light window which runs the entire length of the yacht, therefore flooding the downstairs accommodation with plenty of natural light and allowing guests to enjoy open sea views from their cabins. Above deck, her cockpit is spacious with plenty of seating and a well-equipped wetbar and BBQ, ideal for entertaining – here there is also an option to transform this area into a convertible sunbed. Her large saloon area below deck provides more than enough space for family and friends to gather during meal times, and also provides a relaxing spot to shelter from the sun or tuck yourself away with a book. The forward master cabin has an en-suite bathroom, whilst the aft cabin can be fitted with sliding berths to provide easy conversion to a double when required. Throughout the V40, there is a very contemporary feel – clean muted tones combined with coloured materials and graphic patterns creates a very welcoming space.

The Princess V40 is the ideal family yacht, and if you’re new to boating or looking for an entry-level yacht, or simply you want a yacht that’s easy to manoeuvre and practical for your uses, the V40 ticks all the boxes.

Coypool loom shop & Project 31

At the next stop of the Princess Experience, Bill Barrow takes us through the Coypool loom shop, part of the factory where Princess yachts are built and manufactured. The loom shop is where Princess Yachts prepare the cables and wiring which supports the advanced engineering of each yacht built. Once the team of naval architects, designers and engineers have determined a design for a new yacht, the craftspeople of Princess work hard to bring it to life. It is truly inspiring to see this area of the manufacturing process by Princess Yachts, and to see the looms of wiring and cables which go into each yacht.

The history of Princess Yachts dates back to the 1960’s, and Project 31 is a significant step within that history. A little while ago, Princess set out to find and restore an original Princess yacht and entitled the project, ‘Project 31’. In an upcoming episode of the Princess Experience, we join the Princess team on board Project 31 for a sea trial in Plymouth, plus a deeper insight into the painstaking restoration and rebuild.

Exxpedition

Kiran Haslam, Marketing Director at Princess Yachts, chats to Emily Penn from Exxpedition – an all-women sailing research group. Their incredible sailing voyages take them away from their home for some time, exploring the impact of and solutions to plastic and toxic pollution in our ocean. Exxpedition, led by ocean advocate and skipper Emily Penn, was founded in 2014 in an aid to shift the way people feel, think and act by building a global network of women who can each contribute to world-class scientific studies.
