Meet the Princess X Class: Super Flybridge Yachts

The Princess X Class range of superyachts was first introduced in 2020 as the new flagship range of superyachts from Princess Yachts.

Two models have been brought to the market: the X80 and the X95.

These super flybridge yachts offer more useable interior space than their traditional counterparts, and represent the culmination of nearly 50 years of luxury yacht design, to create vessels that reinvent luxury living on the water.

Princess X95: style and space

The X95 is the largest model of the X-Class and makes quite the first impression. Large and breathtaking, you can’t help but study every inch of this pinnacle of marine engineering.

Antony Sheriff Executive Chairman, Princess Yachts, says: ‘The X95 breaks the mould of traditional yacht design. The unique open plan architecture provides 10% more outdoor space and 40% more indoor space than a traditional motor yacht of similar exterior dimensions.’

Beautifully sculpted surfaces and signature long flowing lines define a captivating design ethos on the X95.  Expansive spaces create more flexibility thanks to both the flybridge and main deck covering almost the entire length of the yacht.

You’ll step aboard and instantly feel that sense of ‘superyacht space’ in the main saloon and a line of sight right through to the forward window and the open-plan galley with dining area. Heading up the internal staircase to the Sky-Lounge on the upper deck opens out to a generous deck featuring a round dining table, relaxed sofa-seating and sun loungers.

Taking pride of place on her lower deck is a full beam owner’s stateroom with ensuite. Further exquisitely styled accommodation comprises the forward stateroom with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom along with port and starboard guest cabins with electronically-converting twin to double beds. Different interior layouts can accommodate up to 10 guests, while generous crew quarters can accommodate 3.

With a fuel capacity of 13,400 litres, the X95 has the range for far-reaching, adventurous voyages at speeds up to 23 knots on the sea.

Princess X80: adventure in luxury

Following the immediate success of the Princess X95, the unique X-Class formula was translated into a vessel that reduced in length, without sacrificing substance.  The striking X80 retains the ‘super flybridge’ and provides more than 30% more useful interior space onboard than a traditional flybridge yacht of a similar length.

The flow of expansive glazing along the entire length of the main deck brings the outside in, creating a sense of being at one with the ocean. The main deck layout offers the flexibility to be more formal with sliding doors to the galley and an elegant electronic divider over the bar, that transforms the galley from open and sociable to fully enclosed.

Travel forward to the dining area which offers 270° panoramic toughened glass windows. Alternatively, you can opt for a main deck owner’s stateroom which includes a private sundeck. The X80 also features a breathtaking Sky Lounge that leads to the enclosed pilot house forward, and to an open flybridge deck with ample relaxed seating and an al fresco dining area aft.

The use of light, innovative design and craftsmanship continues below deck where up to 8 guests are accommodated across 4 ensuite cabins, a full-beam owner’s stateroom located amidships, a forward guest stateroom, a double and a twin cabin.

The X80 is capable of adventures further afield with the option of a long range 8,800 litre tank. Fitted with MAN V12 1900mph engines, she can even reach speeds up to 31 knots.
