Skipper and PDI Technician, Plymouth

We are looking for a skilled and confident Skipper with a strong background in marine operations to carry out, moving, testing, and demonstrating vessels. This position also involves carrying out pre delivery inspections (PDIs), ensuring yachts are ready for handover, and maintaining high presentation standards on both water and dockside.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as Skipper for new vessels, moving boats under their own power in accordance with company sea operation policies.
• Perform sea trials, safety checks, system tests, and client demonstrations to ensure vessel readiness.
• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) process on new vessels before dispatch or customer handover.
• Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Skipper or similar marine operational role.
• Valid skipper certification or boat handling qualifications (e.g., RYA, MCA, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of vessel systems, sea trial procedures, and marine safety.
• Ability to troubleshoot and report issues identified during vessel tests or inspections.
• A hands-on, proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and pride in high standards.
